Your photography is such an important aspect of the day. You want every beautiful and emotional detail to be captured, so that you can look back over them for years to come. Your photographer will work hard to shoot as many stunning photos for you as possible. He or she will have a huge bank of images to go through, and you’ll love them all. But, in our opinion, there are a handful of must-have shots that will make your heart skip a beat.

Before the big day, have a conversation with your photographer about all the photos that are most important to you. Here’s are the ones we think you’ll treasure most.

Getting ready shots of the Bride and her Bridesmaids, and the Groom and his Groomsmen

This one will likely include your parents, too. It’s a magical morning full of anticipation, excitement and emotion. It’s likely you’ll share some really memorable moments during this time. It’s when those closest to you will first see you in your dress or suit, and it’s their chance to share some wise words of wisdom and advice before the ceremony.

Groom’s first look at the Bride

This is one of our all time favourites. We needn’t say more on the subject, the photos speak for themselves.

Confetti shot

This is a euphoric moment. You’ve just emerged from the ceremony as husband and wife, and everyone is so excited for you. The magic of the confetti and the pure glee on everyone’s faces makes this photograph such a special one.

The bouquet

Flowers are one of the most beautiful parts of your wedding styling. You spent so long deciding which blooms would go in your bouquet, so make sure the photographer catches the perfect photo of it.

Your venue, before it’s been touched

Equally, you’ve put your heart and sole into pulling together your dream look for your venue. When everything’s put in place, make sure your photographer sneaks in to take a killer photo of it all before your guests enter.

First moment alone

Usually, your photographer will take the pair of you away for a little while, for a few private photographs. This is the first time the two of you will be alone as a married couple (bar the photographer of course), and they’ll be able to capture some incredibly intimate and romantic moments.

The speeches

Whether you’re crying from tears of emotion or laughter, the wedding speeches are a key part of the day and will really get your emotions going. Those making the speeches have poured the hearts into it, capturing the reactions of you and your guests is priceless.
