Paperchase are the latest High Street store to release a wedding collection that is both beautiful and budget friendly. The lovely range of wedding invitations, gifts, table decorations and so much more seem like they could be the perfect option for the stylish yet frugal couples out there, so we thought we’d take a closer look.
The breadth of the collection will cover the majority of your wedding needs. Kick things off with wedding planners, organisers and checklists to help with all that wedmin. As self-proclaimed stationery enthusiasts, we highly recommend the Evergreen 4-piece Wedding Planner Set. It comes with everything you need to survive wedding planning mode, including a planner with special inserts to help with your guest list, budget, vendor contacts and so much more, a cute little set of sticky tabs (basically mini post it notes that have been given a wedding makeover), a book of tear away to-do lists, and a matching pen!
If you’re a Bridesmaid or Maid-of-Honour planning a Hen Do, then we insist you take a trip to Paperchase. The collection is fun and youthful, with a little bit of sass. But, it doesn’t cross that line between taste and tackiness- a line that gets dangerously thin when it comes to Hen parties. Surprise the Bride to be with balloons, banners and bunting emblazoned with cute bridal party slogans, such as the classic ‘Bride Tribe’, and our new favourite, ‘The I Do Crew’. Throw in a ton of photobooth props and a Unicorn pinata, and you’ve got yourself the girly haven of your dreams.
When it comes to the actual wedding decorations, the collection doesn’t ooze luxury. But, it is made up of some pretty lovely designs that could be great for any couples who are planing a wedding that is fun, lighthearted and- most importantly- that doesn’t cost an absolute fortune. There are some standout pieces that particularly caught our eye, and that we think could have a huge impact on your wedding styling.
For example, we love that Paperchase have given the classic balloon a bit of an upgrade. Choose from elegant, over-sized and perfectly spherical balloons, balloons filled with gold confetti, and the ‘love’ balloon (imagine this floating over a dessert table!).
This gold glitter curtain is also a fabulous piece of decor for a laid back wedding.
We also adore the table games. These are great for keeping guests entertained and for adding a little extra fun to your wedding breakfast. Both the Guess Who cards and the Wedding I Spy game are fabulous ideas.
This Drop Top Framed Guest Book is also lovely. Simply ask your guests to sign one of the little wooden hearts, and drop it in the top of the frame. It will become a permanent fixture in your home, to look back on for year’s to come.
The downside of the range? A lot of pieces do lean largely on the feminine side. There is a heavy focus on blush pink, gold glitter and a pretty, soft script, meaning it’s perhaps not the right choice for anyone trying to avoid a wedding that isn’t typically girly. If you’re looking for something fun, feminine and relaxed- this is your go-to collection. But, for any other look or style of wedding, you might have to keep hunting.
